Everyone welcome EpicMickeyFanOfficial to the administrative team! He has made numerous valuable contributions to the wiki over the past couple years and has already been helping the administrative team with various projects, so it only seemed fitting to give him a proper role.

News and Announcements
Please refrain from posting anything related to the leaks going around related to Epic Mickey Rebrushed. While this is an exciting time for the series, please keep all discussions and edits related to officially announced content in respect of the developers who’ve worked hard on this game. This goes for the Wiki space, the Wiki Discussion Boards, and the Discord server.
Any posts or edits related to the leaks will be deleted immediately. Multiple violations from the same users could result in punishment.
Recently a piece of concept art of the Camp Pirate Whales has surfaced and finally confirming that things things actually exist! Feel free to explore their page on the Wiki! https://epicmickey.fandom.com/wiki/Camp_Pirate_Whale?so=search
Hope everyone's had a great April Fools Day!
Made a small change to how the image source template should look.
<ref>[[File:Paste File Name Here|Thumb|Place Description Here]]</ref>
With many new fantastic discoveries being made across many different mediums, I've decided to put some templates for sources here for convenience of new users.
Knowing When Sources are needed:
•Directly in game (No source required)
•Interviews (Link to website or link to screenshot uploaded on the wiki)
•Official Guides, Art Books, Comics, and Novels (Link to screenshot cropped to source uploaded on the wiki)
•Game files (Best to simply state that the information comes from the game files or code as there's no obvious way to use sources for these. Example: "According to the in-game files…")
Wiki Image File Template:
"Detail that might need to be sourced." <ref>[[:File:Paste File Name Here|Place Description Here]]</ref>
Website Template:
"Detail that might need to be sourced." {{Cite web|url=Paste Website URL Here|title=Paste Title of Website Here|last=Paste Last Name of Author Here|first=Paste First Name of Author Here|date=Paste Date Published Here|publisher=Paste Publisher of Website Here}}</ref>
If either source type is used, then always make sure this is near the bottom of the page:
==References==
<references />
All references created should automatically appear under that section if made correctly.
Hope this is helpful to new users, and if there are any questions feel free to ask!
Effective immediately, I will no longer be supporting the Oasis theme for custom templates/styles. It has become too tedious to keep things looking right on both themes given their differences in appearance and CSS variables. Since FandomDesktop has reached full rollout, logged out users are already on the new theme, so the number of users still using the old theme at this point is likely limited only to a handful of diehard Oasis fans.
I understand some people might like the old look better, but Fandom will be removing it in a handful of weeks. If you are currently using Oasis, please change to FandomDesktop. I am making some visual/template changes that appear broken on Oasis, and it would be a waste of my time to ensure compatibility for a theme that will be removed any day now.
Thank you to everyone that applied for the moderator positions! After careful deliberation, the discussions moderator position has been split into two separate roles: one for Fandom and one for Discord.
The new mods are:
@GoombaBroadcast: Wiki content moderator
@ProfessorLayton15: Wiki discussions moderator
Remember4Ender: Discord discussions moderator
No hard feelings if you weren't chosen! More positions will open as the need arises. Thank you for bearing with me as I deal with a heap of IRL stuff!
Finally time to announce something that is long overdue...
Applications for moderator positions are now open! The Epic Mickey Wiki's moderation team has not grown since 2017. While the community has grown during that time, the team has unfortunately shrunk. Adding more moderators will allow me more time to focus my efforts in other areas of the wiki.
There are two positions open right now: one focused on moderating wiki content and the other focused on moderating the community. Even if you think your chances are low, I encourage everyone to consider applying!
In-depth details on the roles can be found here: https://epicmickey.wiki/Epic_Mickey_Wiki:Administration
Once you've read through the link above, you can apply here: https://forms.gle/zqdd5yvra8AmRYUS7
Good luck everyone!

In the coming weeks, I will be seeking to adopt the wiki. Currently, most of the other admins have not been active since 2018 or earlier, and though GremlinPrescott (the current bureaucrat) made an edit as recently of January 2020, their last continuous activity was over three years ago. Efforts to contact them have been unsuccessful for over a year.
A successful adoption means I would be granted the ability to modify user and bot rights, thus allowing new administrators and content moderators to be appointed in the case of an activity influx.
If the adoption request goes through, little will change for editors. Some of the previous admins may get their permissions removed, but will be welcomed back should they ever return. I will continue to keep an eye on the wiki as I have for years and the editing rules and guidelines will not substantially change.
Because wikis belong to their communities and not the administrators, your feedback is needed before I proceed. Please voice your opinions, thoughts, and concerns in this thread until April 27th, when a proper vote will be held on whether to proceed with the adoption request. Even if you're only a casual reader of the wiki, your feedback is valued.
The home page has been a piece of patchwork for some time. Some sections of it have gone unchanged for nearly 10 years, while others have been added and tweaked, making the overall presentation fairly messy and out of place compared to the rest of the wiki's style, especially after UCP. I've finally gotten around to giving it a complete redesign with a new interactive map, auto-updating featured sections, and a more consistent layout.
You can check out the new design here. Feedback is welcome in this thread!
EDIT: Title fixed. What do you mean it's not 2020 anymore?
Hello all!
As of today, article comments have been enabled to replace the traditional talk pages. Like before, wiki editors can still post notes and comments for other editors, but the accessibility and nature of the comments feature also opens the discussion up to more general fan discussion about the article subject.
As always, the Community Rules still apply here. If you see any misconduct in an article comment section, please contact me either on my Message Wall or on Discord.
I'm yet to get a response from oswaldiscool but i may be you next owner i'm thinking about adopting this wiki. But i won't change much
In response to some recent feedback, I have finally revamped the wiki's policy pages. Previously, the wiki's editor resources and guideline pages were often too vague, incomprehensive, and difficult to navigate.
To correct this, the old Rules & Guidelines and How to Help pages have been removed and combined under the Editor Hub, a one-stop-shop for wiki editors to find community tasks, style guidelines, and wiki rules. The rules have received a long-needed rewrite to better address several topics and a new style guide has been created in order to better clarify writing and layout guidelines. These new rules and guidelines are effective immediately, so I advise all regular editors to read through them.
As always, I welcome your feedback on these new changes. If you think I might be missing something or have a concern, please let me know!
I've enabled message walls on user profiles to make communication and collaboration between users easier. Fandom claims that they're doing a major overhaul and the message wall feature will likely be replaced yet again with something new, but they've offered no timeframe. Because we're all tired of waiting, this should do just fine for the time being.
Nothing has changed on wiki articles; this only applies to the talk pages on user profiles. The old talk pages are archived and can be accessed by clicking the See archived talk page link at the bottom of the message walls.
If you have any concerns or questions, don't hesitate to ask. Cheers!
An important change has been made regarding the way the Shadow Blot and the False Shadow Blot will be referred to from now on:
- The False Shadow Blot article has been renamed to Shadow Blot.
- The Shadow Blot article has been renamed to The Blot.
This change has been made as part of an effort to make the wiki a more reliable information source. In the game, the Blot is never referred to as the "Shadow Blot". This name instead belongs to the smaller one that Mickey faces in Mickeyjunk Mountain. For years, the wiki has falsely referred to these two versions. The change will make the wiki more reputable and will help prevent misinformation.
However, there are a few big problems with this change:
- Shadow Blot will now link to the page for the smaller one, making tons of links on the wiki incorrect. We'll be using wiki bots to try to fix as many of these links as we can.
- The wording of many articles will be incorrect.
What you can do:
- Fix any links you find that lead to the incorrect blot. Most links leading to "Shadow Blot" should be changed to The Blot.
- Fix any wording referring to the two blots. For example, all uses of "False/Fake Shadow Blot" should be replaced with just "Shadow Blot".
SO REMEMBER:
Shadow Blot -> The Blot
False Shadow Blot -> Shadow Blot
Lets try to put some more pages on this wikia and flesh it out!
The Epic Mickey Wiki is now included in a Fandom gaming footer for platforming! The front page of the wiki now has the footer at the bottom that contains links to other platforming game-related wikis. The purpose of the Fandom gaming footers is to list other similar wikis and places to ask for help, and to also show good examples of wikis about a certain topic. It's our responsibility help out anyone that stops by who may need it, and to keep the wiki clean and presentable.
You can read more about Fandom gaming footers here.
Happy editing!
