Nintendo is a video game company founded in Japan that is known for creating video game consoles and developing and publishing games for them. It was decided that the first Epic Mickey game would be a Wii exclusive early on in development. Epic Mickey, its sequel, as well as the 3DS spin-off are available on Nintendo platforms.
The Japanese version of Epic Mickey was published by Nintendo in Japan, unlike the version found in other regions, which was published by Disney Interactive Studios. This version included additional camera fixes and gameplay tweaks.
